Arrest made after man’s ribs fractured in assault

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH after an attack which left another man hospitalised with fractured ribs.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place on a redway close to Peverel Drive and Granby Court and saw a man in his fifties punched before being kicked numerous times while on the floor.

The offender is white, possibly in his forties, around 5ft 8ins tall, large build with short shaved hair and a tattoo on his upper arm. He was wearing blue trainers with jeans and a light coloured, short sleeve shirt.
