Asda announces a new store in Milton Keynes

Asda has announced it will open a new store in Milton Keynes later this year.

The supermarket is investing £1.6m in the new branch at Oakridge Park, which will open in October.

Forty seven jobs will be created by the store opening, which will have a number of popular departments across its 10,000 square feet space, including fresh produce, an express pizza counter, rotisserie, bakery and a selection of world foods.

“We’re excited to bring Asda to this area of Milton Keynes and can’t wait to unveil our store to local shoppers in October,” said store manager Matthew Hayes.

“The store has been designed with the weekly shop in mind, and it’s our aim to make finding everything the family needs under one roof simple.”

It will also cater for busy customers by providing a click and collect service where you can order your shopping online and collect at a point outside the store from your car. The store also features a food-to-go section with sandwiches, snacks and crisps for those looking to grab a quick bite while on the move.

Situated on Wolverton Road, close to the surrounding new housing developments and Oakridge Park Medical Centre, the new Asda store will have 149 free car parking spaces.
