Two of the city’s iconic concrete cows are making a moo-ve to Italy, on a temporary basis, to wave the flag for Milton Keynes in a prestigious exhibition.
The Citizen have herd that The Parks Trust will transport a mother and calf from Bancroft to Venice where they will be displayed in the British Pavilion at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia.
The cows will be part of A Clockwork Jerusalem, presented by The British Council, which will run from June 7 to November 23 2014.
Briony Fox, head of community engagement at The Parks Trust, said: “When The British Council approached us to see if the concrete cows could go to Venice we thought it was a brilliant opportunity for these famous symbols of Milton Keynes to be seen by thousands of people at this prestigious exhibition.”
The two cows will be returning to their field in Bancroft in December.
