A BIKERS group has raised £3,000 to help people with multiple sclerosis.

Barrel Bikers adopts a charity every year, with this year’s beneficiaries being the Milton Keynes branch of the MS Society and the MS Therapy Centre.

The money was raised through a number of raffles and bric-a-brac stalls at club events throughout the year.

Both charities received cheques for £1,500 at a presentation last Wednesday evening at the MS Therapy Centre in Stacey Bushes.

Roz Heredia and Janet Bohn from the MK MS Therapy Group accepted a cheque from Barrel Bikers club chairman Colin Savage, while Ken Rumsey and Marie Collins from the MS Society were given their cheque by vice chairman Tim James.

The Barrel Bikers meet at the New Inn in New Bradwell on most Wednesday evenings from around 8pm onwards.
