TOP entertainment will be on offer courtesy of city performers who are taking part a charity show this month.
Local stars will take to the stage in aid of the MK Community Foundation and Buckinghamshire Community Foundation as part of the ‘Best of Bucks’ – the biggest and best talent show around.
Family favourite Bobby Davro will host the event at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre on Sunday March 18.
The acts from Milton Keynes are Mark Niel – a performance poet – and Soul Urban Poet – two rap poetry performers aged 26 and 28.
A total of 10 finalists will star in the talent extravaganza, including dancers, magicians, choirs, solo singers and poets.
They will perform in a bid to win the chance to present their act at one of Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.
The full line-up of judges is still to be announced but so far the celebrity panel includes legendary broadcaster and DJ ‘The Hairy Cornflake’ Dave Lee Travis and MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman.
Actor, comedian and impressionist Bobby is looking forward to his role in the show.
Bobby said: “I’m delighted to be hosting the Best of Bucks Talent show.
“I believe it’s really important to encourage and nurture emerging talent.
“I’ve seen the quality of the 10 finalists and can tell you that if you come along to watch you won’t be disappointed – they genuinely are a talented lot.
“I’m glad I’m not a judge, it’s going to be a tough decision.
“Make sure you come and join us, we’re going to have so much fun and I can guarantee an evening of fantastic entertainment.”
The MK Community Foundation is an independent charity working for and at the heart of Milton Keynes to create positive change and long term solutions for city communities.
Buckinghamshire Community Foundation works with individuals, business, schools, trusts and public bodies to help provide financial support for local groups. Each relies on the generosity of individuals, families and companies.
The show starts at 7pm and tickets are priced from £10 or you could enjoy a VIP package, which includes food and drinks, for just £20.
