It said: “I send my very best wishes to you and all of those who will be present for what I hope will be a most memorable and enjoyable event.”

They are working with Milton Keynes Council, Stony Stratford in Bloom and StonyLive to deliver a really good afternoon. So please visit them with your friends and neighbours to have a picnic.

They are also aiming to provide some taster food for everyone, StonyLive will provide the music. There aren’t many rules but they would like everyone attending to donate foodstuffs for the MK Foodbank and they are are looking for the following types of donation;

Breakfast cereal, spaghetti (tinned), tomatoes (tinned), dried rice, rice pudding (tinned), baked beans, jam, sugar, meat (tinned), tuna (tinned), teabags, fruit juice (long life) dried pasta, milk(long life), vegetables (tinned), pasta sauce and biscuits.

Look out for the MK Food Bank van; their volunteers will happily receive your donations.

There will be traditional fairground entertainment, cream teas, fish and chips, morris dancers and look out for the Heart Angels from Heart FM.

They will be promoting the community orchard and healthy eating schemes. Come along and you could be taking home tomato plants and brassicas. Stony in Bloom, local schools and allotment societies are growing salad leaves etc for the Big Lunch.
