BONFIRE Night celebrations went off with a spectacular bang as thousands enjoyed firework displays around the city.
Traditionally the annual city centre event, which attracted a huge turnout to see rockets fill the sky over Campbell Park, is held on a Sunday but was moved this year to Saturday to coincide with November 5.
At Bletchley Park the dazzling Blitznight once again thrilled visitors.
The display was backed up by rousing wartime music and the display, sponsored by New City Heating, thrilled the crowds.
Adrian Worman, managing director of New City Heating, said: “We have always been proud to sponsor this event and support Bletchley Park, but felt it was time to raise the bar to make it more special than ever.”
Simon Greenish, chief executive of the Bletchley Park Trust, said: “We are hugely grateful to New City Heating for their continuing sponsorship of not only this event but many other projects on site over the years.
“It is true to say that without the loyal support of local people and businesses Bletchley Park would not be the community focal point it is today with events such as Blitznight.”
