Chelsea Flower Show starts on Tuesday, but you don’t need to go down to London to get your fill – skip across to Frosts in Woburn for a tasty time of it.

The garden centre is paying its own homage to the RHS staple, with a floral themed Afternoon Tea.

Starting on Monday, and carrying through to Sunday, gardening lovers will be able to engage with the perfect treat that celebrates the best of British gardening.

Forget your traditional Viennese Whirl and cup of English Breakfast.

This Afternoon Tea will be a scrumptious arrangement of flower-full extravagance.

Settle back and enjoy a pot of tea served up with a selection of petal perfections; daisy cupcakes, lavender shortbread, rosewater and strawberry and pistachio delice.

Or how about white chocolate mousse (with dark chocolate soil), and freshly baked scones served up with edible violas?

The quintessentially English pastime afternoon tea sounds blooming fantastic, don’t you think?

James Frost, managing director at the centre thinks so.

He said: “This year we wanted to let the talented catering team go wild with no boundaries and this is what they have come up with.

“I’m absolutely delighted with their superb creations and the detail they have gone to...they look almost too good to eat, but we’ll give it a jolly good go all the same.”

Afternoon Tea will be served from 2pm daily.
