A car built in Newport Pagnell is set to appear on a new set of first class stamps issued by Royal Mail.
The Aston Martin DB5 will feature among the British Auto Legends Special Stamps collection and will mark a great year for the famous manufacturer which celebrated its centenary year this year.
The six stamp collection will also feature the Jaguar E-Type, Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, MG MGB, Morgan Plus 8 and the Lotus Esprit.
The six cars were located in virtually factory fresh conditions and photographed by James Mann.
The set will be complemented by a four stamp mini-sheet featuring iconic workhorses including the Morris Minor Van, Austin FX4 black taxi cab, Ford Anglia 105E and Land Rover Defender 110.
Andrew Hammond, director of stamps and collectibles at Royal Mail, said: “This is a fantastic set of stamps that feature a collection of the very best in British motor car manufacturing in the 1960s and 70s.
“These cars are classic in every sense and we are delighted to be bringing a reminder of these iconic motor cars to the nation’s doorsteps through this latest stamp issue.”
