ONE of Britain’s best known ancient landmarks made its way to Fishermead today – and people jumped at the chance to visit it.

Sacrilege – created by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller – is a life sized inflatable replica of Stonehenge and made its way to the city as part of IF:Milton Keynes.

It will be placed between Pencarrow Place and Pentewan Gate between 10.30am and 6pm and despite the wet weather hundreds have already enjoyed the attraction.

Mr Deller said: “A lot of my work deals with history, and Sacrilege is no exception. This is a way to get reacquainted with ancient Britain – with your shoes off.”
