A 10-year-old boy was approached by a man who asked him to get into his car in a suspicious incident being investigated by police.
At about 8.30am this morning, the boy was walking along Lingfield in Stacey Bushes when he was approached by an unknown man. who asked him to get into his car, a silver Vauxhall, which was parked nearby.
The boy refused and fled the scene. He was not harmed during the incident.
The owner of the Vauxhall is a white man, in his late twenties or early thirties, about 6ft tall, with green eyes and messy short brown hair, but no facial hair.
He had a bruise on the left side of his forehead and a plain silver stud earring in his left ear.
He was wearing a white Superdry jacket, dark blue jeans and a fisherman-style hat.
The car is a silver Vauxhall, which had a dent on the passenger side door and a large rectangular sticker on the bonnet with blue and purple writing and a green line underneath.
