Boy, 12, knocked down by motorcyclist who failed to stop

A 12-year-old boy was hit by an off-road motorcycle which failed to stop.

The scrambler bike was being ridden on a grass playing area of Lammas, in Beanhill yesterday afternoon when it knocked down the child.

He is being treated for serious leg injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

PC Ian Stevens said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or who may have seen the motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision.

“If you have any information which could help with our enquiries please speak to police.”
