A TRAINING company has signed a new lease on a Milton Keynes commercial property just six months after the marketing campaign started.
Babcock Training Ltd has completed a new lease on Unit B at the Libra estate, Maidstone Road, Kingston.
Unit B has a gross internal floor area of 26,386 sq-ft (2,451 sq-m) and was one of two on the estate vacated by Trek Bicycle Corporation.
Trek departed their UK distribution HQ in May 2011 and relocated to a state-of-the-art 80,000 sq-ft facility in the Tilbrook district, about three miles away.
Commercial property letting agent Douglas Duff was appointed by Trek to advise on the sale of unexpired leases.
Babcock will operate a technician training centre from the site for its automotive training division.
Jonathan Whittle, director of Douglas Duff said: “My firm has enjoyed a long association with Trek since their relocation to MK in 1998 and I am delighted to have let the larger of their two former-units to Babcock. To have achieved this within a six month marketing period is extra special. The Libra facility appealed to Babcock because of its accessibility, its secure service yard, its build quality and its professional appearance.”
