A US software company has opened a subsidiary in Milton Keynes as part of its global expansion programme.

Airwatch UK has taken offices at Newton Court, Knowlhill, via Douglas Duff, and MD Ian Evans says growth is at the top of the agenda.

He expects turnover to be £1 million in the first year and the four start-up staff should have grown to 30 by the end of 2011. He added: “The UK company was only set up on April 1 so we are in that exciting, challenging start-up phase. We are currently recruiting sales and technical consultants with an IT background and in 18 months I expect to have 100 plus people on board.”

Airwatch provides management including security for mobile devices and can tailor software to individual requirements. The software can report failure to implement updates, unauthorised use or other issues.
