A banking expert who has spent the majorty of his career in the Milton Keynes area hopes to help firms do business much further afield.
Nick Broome has been appointed senior international commercial manager at HSBC and covers the Milton Keynes, Northants and North Bedfordshire Commercial Centre, in North Fourth Street.
Mr Boome was formerly at Clydesdale Bank for five years and before then with Lloyds for 24 years in a range of roles,
He said: “I hope to support local businesses to grow and enter into international markets or just to trade more efficiently with their trading partners. I am keen to work closely with my customers to ensure I understand who they are, how they work and what they wish to achieve.”
He will focus on supporting businesses with a turnover of between £5million and £30 million that are currently trading overseas, or looking to take the step into a new overseas market. His appointment brings the total number of international commercial managers across the Northants, Milton Keynes and North Bedfordshire Commercial Centre to seven, with six domestic-focused commercial managers.
Outside of the office, Mr Broome enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and cricket, including involvement with youth coaching at Wollaston and Northants County Cricket Club. He also follows Ipswich Town Football Club.
