Business expo is expecting to see 5,000 visitors

The final i’s have been dotted and t’s crossed on a business event that is set to bring more than 5,000 visitors to Milton Keynes next week.

Business Expo 3.0 at Stadium MK on Thursday (March 6) is said by the organisers to be on target to be the biggest business exhibition outside or London and Birmingham.

Milton Keynes Council is cock-a-hoop with the fact that so many people due to come in from outside the city and see what it has to offer.

Council leader, Andrew Geary, Mayor of Milton Keynes, Councillor Brian White and MP, Iain Stewart, held a briefing meeting with event organiser and founder Victoria Beale.

Mr Geary said: “The team behind the Business Expo 3.0 have done an incredible job to pull this event together and attract local, national and international businesses to Milton Keynes and promote our city as a place to do business.”

The one-day event will see 100 stands from small start-up firms to Blue Chip companies. Although other expos are being held in the city and surrounding towns this year it is the only international business to business exhibition.

Among the 2014 line up of exhibitors are: 4Networking; IKEA UK, IoD; Reisswolf as well as a strong local support from Invest MK; Milton Keynes Council; MK College and the Theatre District.

Victoria Beale, CEO of Rapid Sales Solutions LTD and founder of the Business Expo 3.0 said: “2013 was our first year and we had a fantastic turnout but we always wanted this year to be bigger and better, which we are delighted to say it is. The event is free to attend and can offer invaluable advice from leading experts from across the country, it really is a must for any business with aspirations.”

As well as exhibitors at the event, there are a number of free keynotes speakers including Daniel Mouawad, Chief Executive of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), Charlie Browne of IKEA UK, Andrew Geary, of Milton Keynes Council, Stef Thomas of 4Networking and Francis Goss of Grass Roots. There are also workshops from David Lock Associates; Woodfines Solicitors; Jonathan Vowels Accountants and more.

Also included is the Angels Den. Angels Den is the world’s first integrated angel and crowdfunding platform. With more than 6,000 investors, it matches entrepreneurs and angel investors.
