A couple of friends have teamed up to launch a recruitment website that’s already changing the world..

Entrepreneurs Abi Hodgson and Emma Clarke set up the online Hair and Beauty Recruitment service earlier this year.

Recruitment and business specialist Abi said: “Within weeks of our decision, we had built our website and we launched ourselves on Twitter and Facebook in late March.

“The response to date has been fantastic and we are currently in talks with three of the biggest hair and beauty brands in the UK and connecting with independent salons looking to recruit, matched by a steady stream of candidates sending in their CV’s, from all over the UK.”

The idea was born in January when the pair discovered a shared desire to start a business and using Emma’s experience and contacts in the hair and beauty industry and Abi’s recruitment and business knowledge, they decided to set up a recruitment agency.

With recent figures showing self employment and company formation at an all-time high, Emma and Abi’s example is typical of what can be done with a website and a great idea.

Based in Milton Keynes, Hair and Beauty Recruitment was created to ensure that the highest standards of service and staff are provided across the hair and beauty industry.

Abi said: “Emma and I share an ambition for success. We are building our business on the principles of honesty, integrity and excellent service.

“Whilst we are focussing attention on securing work with the big UK hair and beauty brands we are also committed to working with local MK salons – and have a promotion running now which is specifically for salons with MK postcodes.”

Emma has a track record of success, as a salon manager with more than 16 years qualified experience. An NVQ assessor she has acted as a professional hairdressing and business management educator and trained staff all in the UK and beyond. She has managed up to 16 salons at one time – personally project managing and setting up six of them.

Emma also runs a successful mobile hairdressing business in MK.

Abi has more than 20 years of experience working as a finance professional and has managed teams of up to 60 people. She is also skilled in interview and screening techniques and qualified in stress management, life coaching, counselling and behavioural therapy. Visit http://hairandbeautyrecruitment.co.uk
