A big lunch club in Milton Keynes will pay tribute to two sporting heroes – including long jumper Greg Rutherford.
The Milton Keynes Sporting Luncheon Club events are among the biggest held in the new city.
Former Scotland and Manchester United manager Tommy Docherty and Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford are due to be at the lunch club on Friday, December 6.
The audience will witness the presentation of the Greg Rutherford MK College SportsAid Athlete of the year award.
As well as a distinguished career in management Tommy Docherty, from Glasgow, played for Preston North End, Arsenal and Chelsea. He is renowned as one of the greatest characters in football.
The lunch will be held at Jurys Inn, central Milton Keynes, at 12.30pm for 1.00pm. The cost is £28.50 per person. There are round tables of 10 and 12 available. There will be a £10 raffle for SportsAid.
