A designer has released her first collection with the aim of giving brides from all walks of life the chance to wear their dream wedding dress.
Estilo Moda, based in Monkston, Milton Keynes, was set up by Omo Alo who gave up her job as a full time human resources manager to put 100 per cent into the fledgling company.
She said: “I had previously worked full time as an HR manager and ran the business part time but my husband was made redundant last January and we soon realised after struggling financially; almost to the point of losing our house, that we had to take control of our own financial future. So I handed in my notice to focus on the business.
“The business has since experienced unprecedented growth and we are moving to new premises at the end of this month.”
Mrs Alo said bespoke wedding dresses cost £3,000 on average with designer labels starting from around £1,000. She added that brides “constantly ask us if we offer and affordable option and now we do.” The new wedding dresses are together called the Indulge 2013 Collection and have prices around £300.
Estilo Moda had only provided a bespoke wedding dress service for private clients before launching the Indulge range of eight unembellished wedding dresses and a range of accessories and trimmings.
The collection has been divided into four themes to further help brides customise their look to suit their theme. The themes are Vintage, Paradise, Romantic and Crystal.
Mrs Alo said: “The opportunity for a bride to have the one dress that she has dreamt of long before her wedding at a price she can afford has fuelled this dream for me. This new wedding dress collection will make it possible for every bride, regardless of financial status, to enjoy this privilege and feel like a princess on her wedding day.”
