The team behind the Young Enterprise scheme in Milton Keynes is looking for mentors from the business community to help school teams.
Each year Young Enterprise teams from schools in the city develop business ideas from scratch for a competition that could lead to national glory.
At the recent launch of the 2014 event, organisers announced they were starting up a Dragons Den, which is where the business community comes in.
Mentor David Stimson, of dsp-newstart, said: “The events will be small, only an hour or so commitment, so it’s a great way to get a taster of how Young Enterprise works, and more to the point just how much entrapanerial spirt there is in our 16-18 year olds.”
Each year Young Enterprise’s flagship company programme enables 30,000 teenagers to run their own real companies for a year with help from business mentors. Many of the scheme’s alumni have gone on to outstanding business success.
