A community project will be setting out to measure vital life signs across Milton Keynes.

Vital Signs MK will be setting out to measure how the new city is doing on things like education and skills, the jobs market, the local economy and disadvantage and exclusion.

MK Community Foundation is piloting the project in 2013 with the aim of identifying priorities critical to the quality of life.

Vital Signs MK is part of a national initiative led by the Community Foundation Network and a report is due to be published on October 1.

People will also get a chance to say what is important to them and what they feel priorities should be during a consultation in March and April through face to face focus groups and an online survey.

The findings will help MK Community Foundation to prioritise funding and to measure progress.

Vital Signs will be launched at the Berrill lecture theatre at the Open University on Wednesday, February 6.
