A special rail service will take Milton Keynes revellers to the Bedford River Festival this month.

Additional trains will run on the Marston Vale Line on the weekend of July 19-20.

As well as the usual Saturday service there will be a ‘fireworks flyer’, leaving Bedford at 11.10pm. It will then call at ten stops, including Aspley Guise, Woburn Sands, Bow Brickhill and Fenny Stratford, before arriving at Bletchley at 11.53pm.

There are not normally Sunday trains along the rural route, but 12 services will run on July 20. Trains will leave Bletchley for Bedford at 10.48am, 11.48am, 1.08pm, 2.10pm, 3.10pm and 4pm.

Return trains from Bedford will leave at 11.36am, 12.37pm, 2.05pm, 3pm, 4.05pm and 5.10pm.
