Popular pub The Eagle has re-opened following a £60,000 refurbishment.

The public house in Harrier Court, Eaglestone, was closed for seven months before re-opening its doors again on July 18.

It now shows all live sporting events broadcast on Sky and BT Sports on the two largest screens in Milton Keynes, as well as providing regular live entertainment, pub games with teams and traditional pub food.

Landlady Sally Bales-Smith said: “The customers have been really pleased with the fresh look and feel and we are seeing new faces all the time,

“They are coming to us with suggestions about what we can do and seem really delighted to have ‘their’ local back. The golf society has already returned to the pub and we are also joining the local darts and pool leagues.”

The pub will also hold a bank holiday fun day on August 25 raising money for the Willen Hospice, where one of the Eagle’s original customers “Sarge” is receiving care.
