Celebrate MK on The Longest Day

Summer of Love
Summer of Love

What ingredients do you have to mix together to get a typical MK day? Which places have to feature, what noises would you have to hear and what sights do you need to see to know that you are in the new city?

The Milton Keynes Citizen photographers, journalists and their colleagues will be capturing Milton Keynes on film on Friday, and we want video from your day as well.

Friday, June 21, is the longest day of the year, and as part of our #summeroflove campaign we want to produce a video that shows how amazing Milton Keynes is; but we need your help.

This idea originally came from the ‘Life in a Day’ crowd-sourced drama/documentary by Ridley Scott; comprising an arranged series of video clips selected from 80,000 users submitted to YouTube, with each clip showing occurrences from around the world on that single day (July 24, 2010).

So whether you’re planning to propose to your partner, jump from a plane, spend time with your family or just want to show how beautiful the region is, then we want you to film it and send it to us on the day. The footage doesn’t need to be feature film length, just a few seconds will be enough, and the best will make it into our final cut.

To be part of it, email your clips to editorial@mkcitizen.co.uk by 3pm on Friday.

If you have a Dropbox account or Google Drive access, then you can simply share your footage from your account to colin.bridges@jpress.co.uk

If all else fails, you can also pop into our offices at Napier House, Auckland Park, Bond Avenue, Bletchley, or call Colin on 01908 651252 who will do his best to help you.
