A volunteer at The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) in Bletchley Park has designed the venue’s first iPhone app.

The app, designed by David Walton, gives up-to-the-minute information including opening times, how to get there, pictures and text about what is on display, and a plan of the museum showing where everything is.

David Walton, the app designer, said: “The learning curve in building the app was interesting for me in applying my skills to mobile technologies and to the Apple delivery process. I’m pleased with the result, especially the social media elements that allow users to easily share. I look forward to the user response -- I’ve made sure that it’s very easy for them to give feedback!”

The app is available free from the iPhone App Store, by searching for “TNMOC”.
