A COMPANY that claims to have never lost a dissatisfied customer in nine years of trading is sponsoring a very appropriate category in this year’s Milton Keynes and North Bucks Business Excellence Awards.

Abbot Fire Group, based in Radclive Road, Gawcott, near Buckingham, is giving its backing to the search for businesses that show excellence in customer care.

Abbot Fire Group has been backing the awards for some years. Company director Nigel Walton said: “As a successful business we are keen to support and recognise other local businesses.

“By sponsoring the excellence in customer care award we can acknowledge other businesses for their achievements and successes.”

Mr Walton is also keen to ensure that firms get their entries in.

He said: “Businesses that are passionate and strive to achieve the best for their customers should enter.

“Whether the business has been customer centric from the outset, or whether developments have been made due to customer interaction and feedback; customers should remain at the forefront of any business.

“Abbot Fire Group sponsor this category due to the synergies with which we conduct our own business, never having lost a dissatisfied customer since the business started trading nine years ago.”

Abbot Fire Group specialise in providing fire-fighting equipment, including the supply, installation and servicing of fire extinguishers, fire alarms and kitchen suppression systems. They also service dry risers and provide fire protection services, including risk assessments, safety training, and advice on legislation.

Last year Abbot Fire Group was commended for the operational excellence award and the year before it won the accolade business of the year.

Judges looking for this year’s best companies in the excellence in customer care category will be looking for companies that can demonstrate excellence and achievement.

The winner will be able to describe how it has developed a service culture that has resulted in delivering consistently high standards of customer satisfaction.

Judges will be looking for entrants to explain how they actively involve staff in the development and delivery of customer services activities.

Entrants will need to describe how they evaluate their customer service initiatives and explain how they they have used the evaluation to develop new service initiatives.

The Citizen and the Buckingham Advertiser are media sponsors for the awards.
