BUSINESSES across Milton Keynes and North Bucks were encouraged to get their nominations in early to the local chamber of commerce’s business excellence awards.
Not only do companies stand to benefit from the boost to staff morale, kudos and publicity of winning one of the 12 categories or even the overall award, there are also opportunities for pre-event free publicity.
The Business Citizen and The Citizen as well as the Bucks Advertiser, as media sponsor, is committed to covering the good news from the area’s vibrant business community. As nominations come in, we will be looking to report on those companies.
The chamber also has an array of internal publicity and networking opportunities for firms, not least the annual awards night and dinner. This year’s black tie shindig will be held at stadium:mk on Thursday, October 20.
Rita Spada, chief executive of the chamber, told a launch meeting of sponsors on April 12 that this year’s awards theme is The World at Your Feet.
She said businesses need to apply well before the official deadline of July 31 to fully benefit from the free publicity package on offer.
