BUSINESSES in Milton Keynes should continue to look for new markets despite challenging conditions.

That’s the advice from a business leader in the new city who wants firms to be bold after research showed chief executives are concerned about the global economic outlook.

Mike Robinson, senior partner at PwC’s Milton Keynes office, in Midsummer Boulevard, said: “Some business leaders in the area may be guilty of sticking with what they know.

“Growth opportunities still exist, particularly in faster growing emerging market economies and where new technology is opening up possibilities.

“The challenge now is to ensure that the experience of slower growth in traditional markets and the uncertainty created by more volatility does not prevent them taking advantage of these areas of new opportunity.”
