A NEW base for fledgling businesses has opened at a school.
Kingsbrook Business and Enterprise School opened The Elizabeth Woodville Business Hatchery, in Stratford Road, Deanshanger earlier this month.
Over the last few months the school has been working with Northampton University’s social enterprise team to look at how it can use some of its outbuildings to support fledgling local businesses.
The concept it came up with was a hatchery for fledgling businesses. An existing building was converted into three units to be occupied by local firms on a low rent and, initially at least, short term tenancies.
The vision is for the school to work closely with the businesses and forge strong partnerships. Andrea Leadsom MP cut the ribbon on July 8.
