A COMMERCIAL law firm based in Milton Keynes has been given the right to tender for more areas of work for multinational bank Santander.

EMW, which has offices in Seebeck Place, Knowlhill, as well as in London, has been re-appointed as one of a small number of law firms to Santander UK plc’s national legal panel.

Santander has also expanded EMW’s remit substantially, doubling the number of service areas where EMW will be able to tender for work.

EMW has been re-appointed to advise on employment, corporate and regulatory/compliance related issues. The additional service areas for which it is eligible for this year are commercial contracts, asset lending and corporate lending.

Andrew Winfield, Santander relationship manager at EMW, said: “Santander is a huge global company. For a law firm of EMW’s size to be advising an organisation like Santander in the UK is a testament to the quality of our work.”

EMW has been working with Santander for over seven years, initially advising on just real estate and commercial law issues.

Says Andrew Winfield: “We have grown to know Santander very well over the years. They like our solutions-driven approach and this was a key factor in Santander asking us to tender for an enlarged remit.”
