TWO former interior design students at Milton Keynes College have teamed up in a new business venture.

Ten years after studying together Tina Ashton and Georgianna Walker have launched online boutique/gallery Magpie Colours.

The business is registered in Skye Crescent, Newton Leys and the friends see their online boutique as an exclusive yet friendly place to shop – the twist being all their products are in Magpie Colours of black and white.

They see it as a showcase for the wealth of untapped British creative talent.

Tina Ashton said: “Being an artist myself I know the importance of getting your work seen, and I am delighted that Georgianna and I have created a smart shop window for the skilful designers, artists, craftsmen and women Britain has.

“There is a wealth of talent here in the UK who don’t get chance to show their work to a wide audience be it that they’re not internet savvy, it’s a financial restraint or they simply don’ t have time. Magpie Colours is their chance to have an international shop window.”
