A hospice launched its winter fundraising campaign with an appeal to businesses.

Willen Hospice is also re-branding all its shops with the campaign theme It’s a Wonderful Gift.

The hospice’s chief executive, Paul Hinson, told invited guests at an autumn reception at Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes on Thursday (October 12) that companies could hold fun events like mince-pie eating competitions to help raise funds.

Willen Hospice, in Milton Road, Willen Village, has to raise £4.3million each year from the local community through fundraising events and its network of shops, to keep it’s services going.

Warren Brearley, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes, presented the hospice with a new car, its seventh annual loan vehicle and pledged the dealership’s and its staff’s support over the coming year.
