A MILTON Keynes estate agency and a Manchester consultancy have been retained as planning advisors by hotel chain Travelodge.
Savills, in Shirwell Crescent, Furzton, and Turley Associates will work with the developers’ agents, offering advice and consultancy on planning applications.
Last year Travelodge had 45 planning consents granted across the UK.
Successful applications were secured for the construction of stand alone hotels, change of use of existing buildings and for mixed use developments in city centre, residential and out of town locations.
Tim Northey, associate director at Savills, said:“Travelodge’s growth programme continues into 2012 and to facilitate delivery of its ambitious plans, we will be working alongside Turley Associates to maximise certainty through the planning process, in securing planning permission for new hotel sites."
Tony O’Brien, UK development director for Travelodge Hotels said: “We fully anticipate replicating the volume of applications in 2012, that we achieved in 2011, as part of our ongoing schedule of growth. We are in no doubt that Turley’s and Savills will help us achieve our goals.”
