Investment is key to growth for visitor attraction

A Milton Keynes visitor attraction is preparing to re-open on Sunday (February 17) after investing in a new feature.

Gulliver’s in Livingstone Drive, Newlands, now includes a balloon ride rescued from North West theme park Camelot, which closed down last November.

Julie Dalton, Gulliver’s managing director, said the secret to her success is constant innovation and investment.

She said: “It’s tough out there and 2012 certainly wasn’t easy, but we plan for the worst and have invested significantly over the last 12 months to help us grow in even the most challenging of conditions.

“We’re delighted so many families enjoyed short breaks at our campsite last year and we can’t wait to open our doors with lots of surprises in store.”

The attraction says its campsite, run by the Camping and Caravanning Club, was the company’s best performing site of 2012. Last year also saw Gulliver’s Milton Keynes’ SplashZone water play attraction hold a record number of children’s birthday parties.
