Two privately owned IT companies in Milton Keynes have merged.

IT outsourcing business SilverBug, in Sunrise Parkway, Linford Wood, has joined with three Admiral Group divisions; Admiral IT, Admiral Network Infrastructure and Admiral Education Solutions, in Seebeck Place, Knowlhill.

The new business will trade under the SilverBug name and will operate from SilverBug’s current premises in Milton Keynes and Leeds and the Admiral IT office in Holborn, Central London. It will employ more than 100 staff in and around Milton Keynes.

Owen Daley, who will remain MD of the new organisation, said: “This marks the start of another exciting growth phase for SilverBug. The good news for existing and new clients of all the divisions is that they will benefit from our growth in expertise and knowledge with this development.”

Admiral Group chief executive, and chairman of the new organisation, Graham McMullen, added: “We have brought together a level of expertise

and pedigree that leading businesses look for when choosing a technology partner. Both organisations have a very similar internal culture that’s based on providing excellent customer service, and it feels very comfortable to combine our teams to benefit clients, to form a company that’s greater than the sum of its parts.”

The full merger and company structure is expected to be finalised by October. The company’s new brand identity has been launched to coincide with the merger, and is available to see on www.silverbug.com.
