A MILTON Keynes company has been named a Cool Vendor by a USA-based retail analyst.

Queue manager Tensator, in Danbury Court, Linford Wood, has captured Gartner's imagination with its virtual assistant.

The virtual assistant uses projected pictures and audio-visual technology to create the illusion of a real person. The virtual person gives messages to customers.

Vendors selected for the Cool Vendor report are "innovative, impactful and intriguing".

The Tensator Virtual Assistant can speak messages 24 hours a day, providing customers with way-finding information, brand and promotional messaging.

Alan McPherson, CEO of Tensator, said: “We consider our inclusion in the Cool Vendor report by Gartner confirmation that the Tensator Virtual Assistant can meet both the customer service needs of consumers and retailers alike.”

Tensator has an established network of 100 distribution partners and 1,000 resellers worldwide serving 170 countries, along with in-house support service resources and a wide global network of outsourced field service engineers.
