Businesses in Milton Keynes have been invited to give a clear view of how the local economy is doing.
The Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, which recently reached the landmark figure of 100 members, is encouraging businesses – members and non-members – to fill in the Quarterly Economic Survey (QES).
Its aim is to obtain a clear view of the local economy and generate an understanding among councils and decision-makers of the conditions that companies are trading in.
The results are fed to the British Chamber of Commerce to gain a national picture of the economy.
The national QES is used and quoted by the media, politicians, and economists. It is also used by the Bank of England and the Chamber believes it can influence the Monetary Policy Committee on interest rate decisions.
The survey will remain open until Wednesday December 4 and is available at www.britishchambers.org.uk/qes
Participants will be required to enter the Chamber ID number: 83.
