A historic Georgian property set in 100 acres of parkland that runs as a small hotel has been sold in a multi-million pound deal.
Mercure Parkside House Hotel in Woughton-on-the-Green, which was marketed with a guide price of £2.6million, has been acquired by Nazim Manji of the Clubhouse Group for an undisclosed sum.
The 49-bedroom hotel also runs as a wedding and function venue, and has five substantial conference rooms.
Stewart Harkness, associate director at Christie + Co who sold the hotel, said: “This opportunity came about at the perfect time for The Clubhouse Group, following the huge success in revamping the Mercure Abbey Hill Hotel, which we sold to Nazim in 2012.
“The Parkside currently ranks as one of the best-loved wedding venues in Milton Keynes and we are confident the hotel will continue to prosper and progress under the new ownership.”
