Milton Keynes parks charity signs up firm to maintain its buildings

A CHARITY that owns and cares for 5,000 acres of parks and green spaces in Milton Keynes has signed up a local firm to maintain its buildings and depots.

The Parks Trust, based at the Campbell Park Pavilion, has property throughout the new city and it has given facilities management firm XPS responsibility for services including security, archiving and electrical testing.

XPS was was established in 2007 to deliver commercial property, maintenance and refurbishment services to businesses across Herts, Beds, Bucks and Northants. Its head office is in Bedford Road, Cranfield, and it has a Milton Keynes office in Fairbourne Drive, Atterbury.

The company’s MD is Emma Bowman Smith, who said: “We’re really proud to be working with The Parks Trust which has such a positive effect on the community.”

Rachel Whitehall, Health and Safety Manager at The Parks Trust said: “XPS is a local company with an excellent reputation and which has extensive experience in the industry, especially in the Milton Keynes area, making them the obvious choice for us.”
