A FORMER managing partner at an international audit, advisory, accounting and tax services firm’s office in Milton Keynes has been appointed UK senior partner.

Phil Verity, 49, well known in the Milton Keynes business community over three decades will take up his new position at Mazars on September 1.

Prior to his new appointment, Mr Verity led Mazars UK middle market business and its global services for owner-managed businesses.

He joined the firm as a graduate in 1986 and has been a major contributor to Mazars growth in the UK since his appointment as partner in 1999. The company has its Milton Keynes base at The Pinnacle, in Midsummer Boulevard.

Mr Verity said: “I am delighted to lead the UK firm in what I believe will be an exciting and significant period of the firm’s life. Despite the challenges of the marketplace, Mazars continues to achieve organic growth because of the calibre of the team and our commitment to high quality client service.”

Current senior partner David Evans has reached the end of his final term in office and is stepping down from the position after nine years.

He said: “Mazars has come a very long way over the last nine years; we have doubled in size and developed a unique global proposition.I am so grateful to the whole team for what we have accomplished together. I’m also delighted to be handing over to Phil, and excited by what I believe he and the Mazars team will be able to achieve in the future.”
