New course plans to help women be their own boss

Women in Milton Keynes can sign up to a free course to turn business ideas into reality.

Milton Keynes Community Enterprise is running the Preparing to Start a New Business course which will include a workshop at The Buszy, in Elder Gate, Central Milton Keynes, on January 14.

It’s a SFEDI Level 2 Qualification to help attendees understand the process and take them through the steps needed to get started. At the end of the course they will have a business plan.

The course is free and open to women aged over 18, lone parents, those not working, or in receipt of certain benefits.

It has a one day workshop, one-to-one support and some self-directed learning. Attendees will have use of the Enterprise Hub which has laptops, WiFi for the duration of the business course. All training materials will be provided.

Sign up day is on January 7 from 10am to 12 noon.
