LETTING agent Jackson Pyne has extended its tenure as the primary sponsor of the all-conquering Milton Keynes Lightning ice hockey team into the 2012-13 season.

Jackson Pyne, based in High Street, Stony Stratford, will have its logo on the front of Nick Poole’s team’s home, away and warm-up shirts.

MK Lightning also welcomes new sponsor MK Diagnostics Ltd, in addition to successfully retaining almost every key partner from last season.

The long list of businesses include Planet Ice, David Lloyd Health & Fitness, Campanile and Northgate Vehicle Hire, as well as local businesses Body Limits, Motive 9 website design, Red 19 ice hockey equipment, B2Promo Design, and Hobgoblin Music.

Richard Walden, MD of Jackson Pyne, said the increase in awareness of the company’s brand during last season meant that continuing the arrangement for 2012-13 made sound commercial sense. He said: “Not only was our logo seen at every rink that Lightning visited around the country, but we gained a great deal of exposure locally which was obviously extremely valuable. The Jackson Pyne logo was on every replica shirt worn by supporters, and by being on the players’ shirts it was consequently on every photograph of them in local newspapers and ice hockey websites - not to mention their matchnight programme and website.”

The brand new designs for next season’s shirts will be unveiled exclusively at the club’s annual ‘Meet The Players’ evening for supporters at the Campanile hotel in Fenny Stratford on Monday, September 3 at 7.30pm.

Milton Keynes Lightning is the most successful ice hockey team in the English Premier League, having won the league title three times and the play-off title four times in their 10 year history. They play at Planet Ice arena in Leisure Plaza, South Row, Milton Keynes.
