A COURIER company has achieved certifiable carbon neutral status.
The Courier Company (UK) Ltd, of James Way, Marshall Court, Milton Keynes, has become the first courier company in the UK to achieve PAS 2060 certification.
The company offsets all emissions from the carriage of goods worldwide, in addition to the operations and administration systems.
It also says it is confident in saving money, too.
Fred Crook, MD, said: “Since 2005, we have offset all our energy consumption, fuel consumption, company travel and most importantly, all our international air cargo emissions, thus achieving carbon neutrality through offsetting.”
The company also aims to cut carbon emissions by changing working practices, including an aggressive policy of recycling and installing solar electricity panels at head office.
