Parks Trust needs new board members

Campbell Park

Campbell Park

A charity that owns and cares for about 25 per cent of the Milton Keynes area is looking for two or three people to join its board of trustees.

The Parks Trust, based at Campbell Park, would like to hear from people with knowledge and experience in ecology, design, marketing, community engagement, fund management and leisure management.

David Foster, chief executive of The Parks Trust, said: “Some of our longer-standing trustees are due to step down and opening up these opportunities to the local community is an important way for us to further broaden and strengthen our board’s skills and experience.

“The board has to ensure the long-term future for the trust and the city’s parkland so being a trustee is a position of influence and great responsibility, now and for future generations.” Interviews will probably be held in March/April.
