Whet your appetite for a whole new choice of restaurants at MK1, as two new eateries have opened this week, with five more coming before the end of the year.
PizzaExpress and Frankie & Benny’s have opened their doors to the public, while PizzaExpress, Frankie & Benny’s, TGI Fridays, Nando’s, Bella Italia, Prezzo and ChimiChanga will follow throughout November and December.
The new restaurants form part of the newly-built leisure complex adjacent to the popular MK1 Shopping Park, which is home to fashion brands such as Marks & Spencer, H&M and River Island. An 11-screen Odeon cinema and IMAX with a Costa Coffee shop is also due to open in early 2015.
MK1 is owned by The Crown Estate, the fourth largest owner of prime regional retail and leisure assets including 16 retail parks, two leisure schemes, and interests in three shopping centres.
Hannah Milne, portfolio manager of The Crown Estate’s regional portfolio said: “From now until the end of the year will be a very exciting time at the MK1 Leisure Park with the opening of these seven new family favourite restaurants.
“The new offerings will not only enhance visitor experience at both the Leisure Park and adjoining Shopping Park, but also strengthen its position as the go-to leisure destination in Milton Keynes.”
PizzaExpress manager Cat Devlin added: “We have a beautiful new restaurant and can’t wait to show it off to our customers. We have a friendly and enthusiastic team who are looking forward to welcoming everyone over a delicious pizza.”
