A MILTON Keynes charity and shopping centre have teamed up to help create a traditional adventure playground in the new city.

Milton Keynes Play Association (MKPA) and thecentre:mk are continuing a partnership on a number of projects, at the centre and within the local community.

Key retailers at thecentre:mk such as John Lewis have also been working with MKPA, based in Burners Lane, Kiln Farm, by donating unwanted materials and visual display items that can be used to resource MKPA’s play activities and the community groups the charity supports.

During the festive season visitors to the centre’s An Olde English Christmas’ show donated £4,093 to the local charity into the wishing pool.

The wishing pool at thecentre:mk has been running for more than 26 years and has raised in excess of £380,000 for charities such as Great Ormand St, Age Concern, Tiggywinkles and MK Snap to name a few.

To track progress of the work the MKPA do and to see more on the adventure playground project visit, www.MKPA.co.uk or www.thecentremk.com
