A PUB’S new general manager has risen up the ranks to take up the top position.

David Hutcheson, 24, is looking forward to the re-opening of the Lakeside, on Willen Lake, Milton Keynes, on Friday, January 20 after the venue undergoes a £275,000 makeover.

David, who joined the pub last month, has been in the pub industry for more than six years and is now keen to take on a new challenge at the Lakeside.

David said: “The Lakeside is a cracking pub; it’s a beautiful estate in an ideal location with huge potential. I can’t wait to open with our new look and offer and introduce Willen Lake to a real Fayre & Square experience.”

The Fayre and Square pub is owned by Spirit Pub Company which was also looking for 10 new full and part-time employees to join the team on the bar and in the kitchen. It closed for the revamp on Sunday, January 8.
