A trainee accountant in Milton Keynes is celebrating after achieveing the second highest mark in the world in his exams.
Assurance executive Sam Bailey, 22, of business and financial advisers Grant Thornton achieved the score in a series of exams set by the ACCA, the global body for proffessional accountants.
Sam began his career with Baker Tilly in September 2008 before joining Grant Thornton in Silbury Boulevard in January 2011. He will receive a silver medal, £400 prize money and a certificate of merit.
Sam said: “My results have been a real confidence boost and reflect how much I enjoy working in accountancy. The exams were hard work but this result really makes all the effort seem worthwhile.”
