Tesco Kingston to carry out diabetes checks

Tesco customers and staff in Kingston will be helping to find some of the 2,909 people in Milton Keynes who have undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes.

Working alongside leading charity Diabetes UK, staff at the store will be urging customers to get tested for the disease.

Allison Wheeler, Tesco Community Champion, said: “We’re really proud to be raising awareness and funds for Diabetes UK, especially as the number of people living with diabetes in MK has risen so much in the last few years.”

Customers can find out their risk of Type 2 diabetes by visiting the in-store pharmacy.
