An open recruitment day in Milton Keynes on March 9 will see 170 theme park jobs being made available to applicants.

Jobs available at Gulliver’s, in Livingstone Drive, Newlands, will include ride operators, maintenance workers, catering staff, gardeners and cleaners.

The family-run company hopes its recruitment drive will appeal to unemployed people from across the region, including staff from Jessop’s and HMV, which both went into administration last month leaving many Milton Keynes workers unemployed.

Gulliver’s managing director Julie Dalton said: “It’s a chance for newly jobless or long-term unemployed people to get back into work and re-train in a welcoming environment – experience isn’t always necessary as we offer great training and development programmes, the main goal for us is to find people with the drive and enthusiasm to fit in well with the Gulliver’s team.”

A number of the family-owned company’s management team started out as teenagers in ride operator roles.

The recruitment day will be held from 10am at the Milton Keynes theme park site.
